Propane / LPGAmmoniaSpecial media
Propane / LPG
To size your vaporizer or vaporizer system for propane/butane correctly, we need some information:
- the exact composition of your gas: commercial propane, a propane/butane mixture or pure butane? For mixtures, we need the percentage composition. Does your gas contain dimethyl ether (DME) or renewable dimethyl ether (rDME), and in what proportion, today and in future?
- the storage of your gas: above-ground or underground?
- the climatic conditions: what minimum and maximum temperatures is the system exposed to?
- the inlet pressure: does the system operate at saturation conditions, or is there a pressure increase, e.g. by a pump?
- the availability requirements: must the entire system or parts of the system be designed with redundancy?
- the preferred energy source: electricity, heating water or steam (which heating method is right for you?)?
- technical rules or requirements that go beyond the standard requirements
- restrictions on the installation space
- requirements for explosion protection
- and finally: the maximum and minimum gas demand in kg/h and the outlet pressure
Ammonia
To size your ammonia vaporizer or vaporizer system optimally, we need the following information:
- What is the planned consumption or the required vaporizer capacity in kg/h? For NH₃: 1 Nm³ (0 °C; 1.013 bar) = 0.771 kg = 1.13 litres of liquid at the boiling point; conversely, 1 kg = 1.30 Nm³.
- How is the ammonia stored: cylinders, cylinder bundles, drums or tank?
- What are the inlet temperatures and pressures?
- Does vaporization take place at saturation conditions, or is the pressure increased, e.g. by a pump?
- Which site-specific legal requirements must be taken into account?
- What safety measures are planned in case ammonia escapes? Is there a water spray system to knock down leaks?
- Is the system to be designed with redundancy or diversity?
- How long is the pipework, and what size is it?
- What material should the system be made of: steel or stainless steel?
Special media
We plan and size units for special media individually as a special version. For methanol and other special media, please tell us the medium, the required throughput in l/h or kg/h, how the medium is supplied (pump or pressure vessel, at what pressure), the outlet pressure, the required gas temperature, the length of the line to the consumer and the conditions at the installation site. More on special media.
